CONfab will be held online through Conline, with programming held over Zoom and Discord. They will host two tracks of programming, Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon, in the following formats:

Multi-Fandom Topics – Often include subjects of multifandom interest, like the representation of women in canon, supernatural worldbuilding, or writing good kink fic. They may also cover a more general fandom universe that has multiple smaller fandoms that fall under its umbrella.

Single-Fandom Topics – Focus on topics of single-fandom or niche interest.

Workshops – Give attendees a chance to learn something new, or hone their skills. Past workshops have included things like live beta reading, cross-stitch, fandom stitch ‘n bitch, making fannish plushies, tabletop RPGs 101, and more, but they can be about anything you’re interested in and want to share with others.

Programming submissions will be put to a public vote to gauge interest. You can submit up to four proposed topics in total. The deadline to submit a programming proposal is JULY 31st. All stories and works of art must have Harry/Draco as the primary romantic/sexual pairing. Pre-slash should be marked clearly in the header information. Though, their relationship doesn't have to be the primary focus of the story/art, both Harry and Draco must play an important role in the story/art and their relationship must not be overshadowed by any other.

The only career exceptions for this fair are:
Harry: Auror, Professor, Quidditch Player, Sex-Related Careers
Draco: Auror, Professor, Potions Master, Sex-Related Careers

Each prompt can be claimed once for art and once for fiction. Once you submitted your story or art, you are welcome to claim a second prompt.

Announcement about capping at 100 claims.

Podficcers may select any H/D story for recording that fits the theme of the Fair. The story need not have been written for a previous H/D Fan Fair. You may also work in collaboration with a writer who claimed a prompt and record their story.

Podfics for H/D Career Fair are not posted anonymously; both the podficcers and the author's name will be noted in the header. Podfics of any length are acceptable. Sign-ups for podficcers happens when Claiming starts.

The squares on the card will be based on past Voiceteam challenges. At the end of the event, participants will be awarded badges based on their accomplishments.

You may opt out of specific prompts when you sign up, or, if you really don’t like/are uncomfortable with a prompt on your card you can contact the facilitators with the requested changes. Are you looking for some low commitment podfic fun this summer? Sign up for Summer Podfic Swap, a new multi-fandom, no-minimum podfic exchange! Runs June through August 2021.

Create a podfic of any length and receive a podfic in return! Signup via the ao3 exchange by June 15th. Assignments go out near the end of June. Gifts are due by August 17th. Reveals will take place near the end of August. If you’re interested, but not sure about signing up, you are always welcome to make treats for the exchange! The deadline for submitting treats is August 31st.

If you would like to list more fandoms, you can do so in your Dear Podficcer Letter, but this will not be factored into matching. Dear Podficcer Letters are required. Your completed signup form will be visible to others to facilitate treats.

How will matching be done

Matching will be done through the ao3 algorithm, with the mods spot checking the results. Matches will be made on matching request/offer fandoms, and potentially shared additional tags. If you have any concerns about matching that you don’t feel comfortable sharing publicly, please email the mods before the close of signups. After matches are made, assignments will be emailed out by June 22nd.
