Ladiesbingo is a bingo challenge for creative works about the relationships between women. It runs for seven months (from September until March). Players create works to fill squares in a bingo card and gain points for the patterns they make. When the challenge ends in March winners are announced based on the number of points amassed.

The motivation behind the community is to encourage people to make creative works focused on female characters and their relationships.

Please do not post individual prompt fills to the community. Post these to your own journal or other community space and only post to the community once you have completed a bingo. These do not have to be DreamWidth journals and communities, but they must be publicly viewable at least until the end of the current bingo round.

The claiming period happens over three weeks, and then writers have five weeks to write a minimum of 1k based on or inspired by the not!fic. In some cases, the oral not!fic may be very detailed and follow specific plot lines with specific characters and in some cases the oral not!fic may be more general, similar to the "I wish someone would write me a fic where..." prompts on Tumblr.

Not!fic can be as detailed or general as the creator likes.

You may submit new oral not!fics created for this event or already published oral not!fics. However, the oral not!fics may not be recordings of an existing not!fic. You can request 3-10 canons, and offer 3-10 canons. Each of your requests and offers must be tagged with 1-3 of the labels "Fanfiction", "Podfic", and "Fanart".

520 sounds like "I love you" in Mandarin, so May 20th is a bit like Valentine's Day, and we're celebrating. As the name suggests, this is a reverse exchange: instead of making your request and that request being assigned to a writer/artist/fanwork creator, here:

1. You sign up with the kinds of things you enjoy creating.
2. You choose three writers/artists/fanwork creators based on anonymised ads.
3. You make a request of each of them based on what they enjoy creating.
4. You are assigned one request to create for, based on your offer.
5. You receive a gift from one of the creators you chose.

(An updated rules/info post will go up before sign-ups open, but here is last year's for reference.)

The 520 Day Reverse Exchange covers the Guardian drama, the novel, and real person fanworks about the actors.

Participants who are under 18 must request and offer works rated General or Teen And Up only.
